COPY. ----- S/W. To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Sr. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E.5.9.35. re Springs for 20/25 Continental Use. Referring to former correspondence and my Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}18/E.2.9.35., this crossed a memo from Sr., copy of which I enclose. As the result of this memo, it looks as if the right thing to do is to standardise these intermediate springs for 20/25 chassis sold for Continental use but NOT for ordinary chassis the erection instructions of which merely indicate some Continental use. Personally as the result of my test I should have been satisfied to have standardised the low rating springs for every one but I feel that, as we have submitted the intermediate set to Sr. and he has approved, we should be guided by his judgment. Will you please confirm that the above is clear and that you are in agreement with it. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
