A drum with a solid back plate would, in our case, have to be machined all over and might not represent a saving. We will, however, go into the economies of this at an early date. We have also instructed our Order Office to enquire your price for sample drums. In this case the drums would not have the ribs cast in, and we shall be able to lend you patterns for them as we have produced such drums in our Works.
