Dear Mr. Robotham, The issues of "THE MOTOR" published in March have contained one Technical Review, dealing with Offset Transmissions and giving drawings of Rolls-Royce, Chrysler and Packard hypoid gears, Daimler worm drive, Austin racing double-reduction gear and the Bendix Weiss universal joint. Road tests have been carried out on:- March 7 Singer Nine Roadster Morris Fourteen March 14 Lanchester Roadrider Hudson Twenty-one March 21 Austin Eight Frazer-Nash-B.M.W. Type 327 Mercury March 28 Packard "120". In addition to these there has been the unusual feature for this time of the year of having some new cars to announce. These are the Singer Nine and 12-cylinder Delahaye, March 7; 30 h.p. Mercury, March 14; Triumph Twelve, March 21; and the Riley Twelve, March 28. This is an unusual "bag" so early in the season and to it might be added the description of the new Andre shock absorber, March 21. | ||
