This is certainly one of the most serious troubles we have had, about which I have complained previously, and which I also understand has been taken up by R.{Sir Henry Royce} with the Experimental Dept. For your information I attach copy of memo. I have recently sent through dealing with this matter, recommending that if we are to continue using Lucas equipment and we cannot get any improvement in this respect from Messrs. Lucas, we should fix an improvement ourselves. The trouble is that there is no proper spring contact for the fuse wire, and as the fuse wire "flows" it fails to make proper contact. EP.{G.
