Speed trials and the Sluggard Car. (Contd.)

Mr Spinney submitted a scheme for pedals and slewed steering column. This scheme is to some extent a makeshift, but the Committee recommend its adoption as being the most feasible scheme that can be brought in. Mr Spinney was advised to proceed on these lines.

90th Meeting
Nov. 30th.11.

It had been agreed at a previous meeting to use wooden wheels for this car, owing to the reduced windage when fitted with protection discs.

The Committee now agreed that wooden wheels were unsuitable for racing purposes on the track, and recommended that we continue the use of wire wheels.

91st Meeting
Dec.1st.11. Re Governor shaft for Sluggard Car.

At a previous meeting it had been decided to make the cover for the governor case of wood.

It was now suggested that this was in some respects unsatisfactory, and the Committee agreed that it should be made from aluminium plate about .1" thick.

93rd Meeting
Dec.5th.11.

The Committee were informed that Mr Spinney had nearly completed the body alterations to this car, and radiator that the/drawing would be submitted that morning.

The other alterations had not yet been put in hand owing to pressure of work.

Mr Swetnam submitted a scheme for this radiator and the Committee recommended the following
