- 3 - this complaint of roughness, but I am determined to go on until something happens, with a view to finding out up to what mileage, after having been tightened up (main bearings stepped) we can rely upon being free from trouble in this direction. I presume I am right in adopting this attitude. When considering whether or not customers should be charged for this, that or the other thing in conjunction with the memo in question, one should always remember the inconvenience to which the customer is put by having his car held up whilst the work is being done. Customers do not consider, in most cases, that a car of the standing and price of a Bentley should require as much attention as it does. In this direction we are up against the Americans and we must admit quite frankly that, as far as we can judge, these cars do not often let their owners down. Sr. | ||
