SECRET E.A.C. EFC3/T20.12.23. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. CJ. BJ. RG.{Mr Rowledge} c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PN.{Mr Northey} X.9730. E.A.C. SWITCHBOX. Reference your R4/M17.12.23, modifications being in hand for the E.A.C. switchbox, would it not be as well to arrange at the same time, either electrically or mechanically, that the headlights cannot be put on without the charge. Ther-e might be arranged a mechanical switch interlocking device so that until the charging switch was in the charge position, the head light switch could not be moved mechanically to the "on" position. At present there is some danger in night running of people fprgetting to put on their charge and so exhausting their batteries. EFC. | ||
