TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM AJS. SECRET. AJS3/M15.5.25.

Copy to - EH. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. CLUTCH. V8300

We send herewith drawing LeC. 2068, shewing the improved form of damping device used in clutch on LeC. 2067., but arranged so that it can be fitted to the existing design of clutch.

It is similar in principle, and many of the same parts are used as on the improved clutch, and it has been arranged for with the minimum of additional machining, (all of which is on the flywheel with one slight exception) should it be necessary to fit it to clutches already on cars.

On this drawing alternatives are shewn for-
(1) Clutches already made and finished to existing drawings.
(2) Those not already made, in which it is possible to modify the machining a very small extent.

AJS.
