X.3468 RE CHASSIS 7-FW - UNDERSHIELD.
& Mr. C. Rosenlew.

Referring to your memo. C8/C9.8.20. we have now heard from R.{Sir Henry Royce} and he has taken the matter up with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} who has informed us we should fit an unlouvred undershield on the chassis referred to, and also replace the undershields on chassis 73-TW and 49-CW by the unlouvred type.

We have given instructions for a special undershield to be made, and this will be sent down and fitted at the Coachbuilders where 7-FW is at present being fitted with a body.

Regarding the question of Mr. C. Rosenlew, as to whether we were willing to pay for the alteration, he has had to have made on the undershields of 73-TW and 49-CW, will you kindly write to him and suggest that we will replace the undershields at present fitted by undershields of the louvred type, at the same cost as those at present fitted, and if he returns them, will credit him for same in full.
