Dear Sirs,

Attention E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives Esq.

With reference to the interview which the writer had with you last week, we are enclosing herewith a further catalogue and one of our small leaflets. We are forwarding to you under separate cover one of our "PS" type petrol strainers in brass for you to make use of in any way you may think fit, so as to test its efficiency.

With regard to the oil side for motor cars, if you would kindly let us have particulars of the oil lubricating system of the Rolls Engine, stating in particular where your present strainer is fitted, i.e. on the suction or delivery side, and its size, also, if possible, a drawing showing the strainer itself and how it is fitted and the general scheme of your oil system, it would assist us in seeing whether we have got any existing model of our strainers which would be suitable for you to test on an engine and if not, we might be able to prepare a special design for you to carry out a test.

You will find a form of questionnaire at the end of the large catalogue, which might be of use to you.
