R.R. 258A. (100 T) (S.G. 643, 19-2-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2518 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from EFC. X995 EFC1/T31.7.20. X.995 - INSTRUCTION BOOK. Mr. Royce's note F6/G29.6.20 with reference to the extension of the Instruction Book matter dealing with the Electrical Installation on the Car, was handed to me for my consideration, together with one of the proof copies of the Electrical Appendix. There are several points arising out of this which perhaps you would kindly take up with Mr. Royce for us. (1) Some concise instructions provided in heavy lettering so that they would not escape notice are asked for, several examples being given. Mr. Royce also asks at the end of the note that a page be devoted as to what to do in case of failure. We notice in one of the examples of concise instructions reads :- "In case of failure of ignition or light, examine fuses". What we wish to know is, should these two columns be incorporated into one and possibly made into two parts, or was it Mr. Royce's intention that the two parts should be found in two different parts of the book ? Further, to what extent should they over-lap, if any, the heavy type instructions given at the beginning of section C devoted to "care of battery"! Contd. | ||
