BENTLEY STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION.

We have found on the vibrating machine at Shardlow that the sideways vibration of the steering wheel is greater than that of the dash and of the body in line with the wheel. We therefore wish to try the arrangement shewn on the attached Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2175 in an attempt to reduce the wheel movement to the same amount as that of the body.

Will you please detail the scheme and construct one set of parts. In addition to the modifications shewn on the print, the lower connection between the steering column and the dash, which is now made with rubber, should be made solid. We shall probably require this arrangement to be fitted to the old E.B.1V chassis which we are using for these tests.
