Re - Fellows Magnetos. You will have noticed the advertisements in the Technical Press of the above Company of magneto manufacturers, do you think we should make a move to obtain 1 of these magnetos for experimenting. We give you an extract from the Autocar re this:- The Fellows All-British Magneto. "A firm of whom we have known for the past twelve years as repairers of accumulators, magnetos, and other ignition appliances, who began in quite a small way in Hereford Street, Mayfair, have for some little time past been manufacturing a British magneto. From small beginnings the Fellows Magneto Co., Cumberland Avenue, Park Royal, Willesden, N.W., have built a well equipped factory in which they are turning out quite a number of magnetos weekly for the Government. At the present time they are unable to supply machines to private customers owing to Government requirements, but on account of the fact that their works are to be developed rapidly and extensively they hope very soon to be in a position to turn out several hundred magnetos per week. They are just now engaged in making a four-cylinder magneto of a type similar to that used on cars. It is well and accurately constructed and every item, including the red vulcanite, which is manufactured from the raw rubber, is made in the company's own works, even the smallest screw being made on the premises. | ||
