As the rays are all collected and concentrated in the very centre of the parabole it is possible, standing on one side, to look into the lit headlamps without any dazzling effect such as caused by the ordinary headlamps where the rays of the facing bulb are spread out in all directions without being carried very far. MODELS "DE LUXE" Patent No. 587,639 REMARKS.—All Marchal headlamps are of the Single Pole frame return type—and, to be employed on a double pole circuit, one side of it should be connected to the frame preferably through a fuse box—They are all fitted by means of the Standard A.S.A.E. base and universal joint; viz: a bolt and nut fitting carried at the centre of a spherically concaved socket underneath the lamp itself—In the case of the “Superphare Trilux 310” the fork is provided with this bolt and nut device. CHROMO plating is untarnishable—No metal polish should be used on it but the plated surfaces should be periodically washed with water to which, if necessary, very little soap could be added, and dried with a soft cloth: their high class finish is thus easily maintained.
