SOME UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE "TRILUX"

Marchal Trilux Headlamps are accepted the world over as the finest and most powerful of motor car headlamps.
Fitted to the fastest and most expensive French cars their graceful design harmonizes with the distinctive lines of modern high class coachwork. They constitute the only reasonable solution to fast night driving with safety to all users of the road: at the approach of oncoming traffic the upright bulb is switched on while the centre one is turned off. The patented optical device called “Monocle” ensures a wide-spread light down on to the road by which the high speed of travelling can be maintained, thus assisting vehicles passing in the opposite direction without any dazzling effect whatever.
The change over is made instantaneously by means of a two way switch either on the steering column or on the dash, or, better still, by your foot operated switch conveniently situated near the clutch pedal. The lamps are properly set once for ever, and no dipping device with cumbersome and complicated levers nor any dipping reflectors with cables and springs are present to alter their original position and the direction of their beam.
Nor are any double filament bulbs employed; as in these cases one at least of the filaments, indeed usually both, must be out of focus with the centre of the parabolic reflector.
The rim of all Marchal headlamps is always of polished aluminium but the back is finished in black enamel or chromo plating.
