TO [REDACTED] FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to - [REDACTED] HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M26.11.26. PHANTOM - HEAT SHIELD FOR EXHAUST SILENCER. X8230 X3908 Herewith we send N. sch. 2311. shewing the proposed shield between the silencer and the body to obviate the excessive heat sometimes complained of. The shield is intended to be carried over the silencer as far forward as possible before the drawbars interfere. Beyond that point the silencer should be lagged as now, but only the upper half instead of all the way round as at present. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} RECEIVED 29 NOV 1926 | ||
