Complaints contd Seizure of rear brake shafts In view of the lack of experience of the modified lubrication system, this scheme has been dropped. Steering Depots report that steerings have improved since the improvements in the manufacture of the rollers have been introduced, but that there are still isolated cases which give trouble. BENTLEY COMPLAINTS Bearings Sr. has fitted A.C.2 Main Bearings to two cars, but so far hasnot run any mileage on them; he hopes to have information shortly. The question of establishing a standard oil flow test for main bearings was discussed, and it was agreed that there were many difficulties to be overcome before such a test could be made reliable. There was a prolonged discussion on the question of modifications to be applied to customers cars, and it was finally decided that a Sub Committee should meet and draw up recommendations. Knocks in rear wheel driving box. It was pointed out that fitting the improved type of hardened driver will entail an extra cost of £6. Depots would prefer to fit oversize drivers, particularly in view of the incomplete experience of the new type. It was agreed that this procedure should be adopted. | ||
