PHANTOM III. CHASSIS 3-BU-104.
VAN RIEDEMANN.

We were distinctly interested in the letter from the above customer in this week's complaint list. If the facts are as he states viz. that there was a serious wobble at 40 miles an hour, it would represent a new experience.

We are well aware of the low speed wobble, which comes on about 25 miles an hour, to which so far complaints have been confined. Even this we appreciate is a disconcerting experience to a customer, and we have been endeavouring to meet it without making the steering heavier by using spherical bushes made of Continental Bakelite, which is Bakelite built up on a fabric base. A number of these have been supplied to N., and we are hoping that they will adequately cure any complaints of low speed wobble.

Being uncertain as to the nature of the "wobble" or "shimmy" as the customer calls it, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} got into touch with Sr. at Paris, gave him the information and said he would like the opportunity of checking the car when he wasover in France in the near future. In the meantime Sr. should get in touch with the customer, and deal with the complaint on the lines indicated.
