| R.R. 755 (10M) (SL 72 18-7-23) MP 274954s. ORIGINAL COMPLETED 4.3.24. STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Description of Parts: STEEL ARTILLERY WHEELS. Origin: To provide alternative to wire wheels. Experimental Test Report: In order to satisfy some customers we must have an alternative wheel to the wire wheel. The disk wheel we do not recommend. These wheels are similar in design to those which we tested for 10,000 miles on a 20 HP. They are used in connection with the standard wire wheel hubs. Road Test Report: Approx. 12 sets of these wheels have been fitted to customers cars. They have been in customers hands for some time - no complaints. It is only proposed to used these wheels when a customer refuses to have wire wheels. X - Scrapped A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. Weight of Old Part.
