re. 43-WO.

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} is absent.

The specification of the above chassis calls for well base rims with medium pressure tyres.

Owing to these not being available, arrangements have been made with Sales to despatch the chassis on service wheels and the well base rims and medium pressure tyres to follow as soon as available.

We are writing this memo as the well base rims and medium pressure tyres have not been standardised for Phantom chassis with the present type front axle.

We took the matter up with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and it was agreed that this could go forward. We understand that the standardisation sheet is on the way round covering this.

Arrangements should be made, however, to see that the car is not actually delivered to the owner with well base rims and medium pressure tyres until the Standardisation sheet is completed unless special instructions permitting this are obtained from BJ.
