(3) on sheet metal body stiffeners we shall go into the question of providing adequate cross members for the body when using this scheme and will take the matter up with Messrs Barker's as soon as we have made some designs for the purpose, in fact we propose designing the whole of the ironing of the body and shall endeavour to use sheet metal in every case. Since however this matter is highly experimental, and we must do something to production cars we shall go along with the improved body bracket scheme as soon as possible, and will also continue experiments with tie-bars should it be found that they are necessary. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} R.{Sir Henry Royce} has also agreed that Goshawk cross members are slightly smaller pro rata the 40/50. and we propose to increase them all as soon as the Works say they have used up present stocks. | ||
