RE. GOSHAWK TIE-BARS.

We thank you for your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG101023., with blueprint F.52766. The graphs of deflection provided are generally instructive but we cannot quite understand the peculiar curves in some cases existing between points K.{Mr Kilner} L. & M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} We would like to know whether these data were carefully checked, because the only explanation we can give to the phenomena is that there is considerable error. Apparently the modified tiebars weaken the section between K.{Mr Kilner} & L. compared with the original tiebars, whilst the stiffener seems to do a good deal. We would therefore be glad if you would try the stiffener in conjunction with the original tiebars.
