-2- Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}11/JH.15.2.40. Records - kept by Typist. Over and above the existing records we wish you to institute the following :- (1) A register of F.L. schemes giving the following information. (a) Drawing Number. (b) Car used on. (c) Title. (d) Remarks or description. (e) Size. (f) Section. (g) Date received. (h) Drawn by.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} (i) Date original sent to Strong room. (2) Although this is covered to some extent by Mr.Lovell's card index system, we suggest it should be kept in book form and be a replica of our F.L. scheme book. The sending of originals to the Strong at intervals when 4 or 6 are no longer needed & piece numbers have been added is very essential due to Company regulations re fire risks. The typist should deal with this at intervals and enter the date in the register under heading (i) Mailing. All outward mailing should be done by the typist and work should be made to wait for her visit as a general rule. The ordering of blue prints and the despatch of originals to the Print Room should be treated accordingly. Originals should always be in a Cardboard roll. Opening of the returned blue-prints and the resulting despatch of the same should be the typists job and should await her. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
