X3741 To EY/C. from EFC. EFCl/T25.6.26. X.3741 - HYDROMETERS. We return herewith the two hydrometers sent in for test, together with a copy of my assistant's report JC.34, from which you will see that we do not think the instrument made in U.S.A. to be as good as the British instrument. At the same time this British instrument is not the same, and as good as one of the same designation, viz. type S1, which we recently tested, and which we were under the impression was standard, see our EFC2/T15.5.25 with attached report JC.103. The instrument referred to in that report had a straight barrel and avoided the weak place, and we much prefer to supply with chassis an instrument of this type. EFC. 2 hydrometers returned herewith. | ||
