New postal arrangements to consolidate non-confidential mail to reduce postage and stationery costs.

X.1775. POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS. ********************** CK.{Mr Clark} D/EN/AE/19.5.20. Please note CJ. specially requests that the under-mentioned matter concerning Postal Arrangements be circulated round the various heads of the Staff. "Unless any memoranda which are sent from the Works are strictly private and confidential, they should be sent open to the Mailing Dept. without envelopes, so that the Mailing Dept. can put them in one envelope." It is requested in accordance with previous instructions that all correspondence for despatching by post should be sent to the Mailing Dept. by 5 p.m. each day during the week and 11.45 a.m. each Saturday. We hand you herewith copy of CJ's. former instructions with regard to this matter, and it is requested that all concerned will carefully carry out the above arrangement with a view to reducing the cost of postage and stationary.
