| (3). (11). GENERAL PERFORMANCE. From a 3 1/2 litre engined car of the Bentley cost and weight, I feel there ought to be a little better performance. (12). DASHBOARD LAYOUT AND INSTRUMENTS. Not as good as they ought to be, or worthy of the car. (13). HORNS. Similar remarks as previous number. (14). GENERAL QUIETNESS AND SMOOTH RUNNING. Irreproachable. In my opinion, I should be willing to sacrifice something in this respect for improved performance. Quietness of gears, and gear change, very good. The only complaint is the rattle referred to above. (15). GENERAL LAYOUT OF BODY. Everyone admires the body, the great comfort of it on a long run, and the surprising amount of room. There are a good many rattles, and it leaks badly in several places in anything like heavy rain. As I am using the car a good deal, I wrote your London Office and said that I would not return it, to have the body work dealt with, until the late Autumn. I should like to have the opportunity to bring the car up to you in November, have the chassis looked over, and then send it to Park Ward to have the body work dealt with. Kind regards. Yours sincerely, A.{Mr Adams} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} R.{Sir Henry Royce} Fedden. | ||
