EXHAUST FITTINGS - 'V' SERIES X. 8230 Re. the rear silencer support on the above, we have just received a memo. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} saying that a test should be made of the best sheet steel support that we can design. he rather approves of the No.1. suggestion shewn on our drawing but sends a sketch of a further development, to which we shall make a design. He further remarks that for cost and lightness sheet steel work will have to be used where-ever possible sooner or later.
