Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 14th April, 1939. Messrs. Sanderson & Holmes, London Road, D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, We thank you for the SS{S. Smith} Cars' letter of the 1st April which you have handed on to us. We are astonished at the attitude taken up by them in view of the extremely small mileage which the car had covered. The inconvenience caused to us by the exhaust valve failure was accentuated by the fact that it took the S.S. Company two months to repair the damage. We cannot believe that this is the type of treatment which is normally meted out to the S.S. clientele. We shall be glad, therefore, if you will take up the matter with their Managing Director. Yours faithfully, | ||
