cars, that is the 25/30 and the 35/40, and see whether there is anything very interesting in the running of them that would lead us to believe it is worth our while to purchase one of them.

Perhaps you will remember that these people claim the patent for the double bevel back axle drive. It is not likely we should want to adopt this, having our hands pretty full with the single bevel gear on the back axle.

Can you arrange for anyone to take a ride, or preferably to drive, one of their trials cars of the 25/30 size with a view of purchasing it for one of our clients, as suggested in your letter?

At the same time, he might get a ride in or be allowed to drive the larger 35/40 car and send us a report. Of all people I should prefer Platford to do this if it
