Squeaking Brakes. 20-HP Chassis.

With further reference to our last memo on this subject to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (copy to you) EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn8/H16.2.25. we notice in your memo BYZHM17/W.24.2.25. that you agree to the forwarding of prints to America, giving them the new arrangement of Damping Device for overcoming squeaking brakes on the 20-HP cars which they have in America which are suffering from this trouble.

We are anxious, as already pointed out, to circularise the Depots at the earliest possible moment giving them some method of overcoming squeaking brakes, which are the source of many complaints from various parts of the world. Will you please let us know as soon as possible when it is permissible for us to circularise the Depots acquainting them of this damping scheme as a method of overcoming this trouble. Will you also consider the question of having a number of sets of the necessary material made up for issuing to the Depots, to be used in case of complaint.

EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn.
