X.800 - BATTERY IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR. x3309 Please find attached copy of my assistant's report on experimental performance of standard platinum distributor sparking points unventilated, together with reported performance of brass distributor sparking points well ventilated, from which it will be seen that in the first case ventilation does not appear to be of much importance with regard to platinum, but in the second case, brass distributor points would appear to be out of the question in any case.
