SUBJECT - Investigation re wear of rubber blocks on 20/25 H.P. cars.

We have investigated the above and find that the wear on the dynamo drive coupling rubber blocks on 20/25 H.P. cars is due to the fact that the dynamo armature has not been correctly centralised with the drive.

The dynamo is located in position on the crankcase by means of two straps, and it has been found that the armature may be as much as .020" out of alignment with the drive.

We are now providing a shouldered bolt at the driving end of the dynamo which will locate this centrally.
