4546 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.14/KW. 11th September,1935. Messrs. Thomas Firth & John Brown Ltd., Spring Dept., Tinsley, Sheffield, 1. For the attention of Mr. Porter. Dear Sirs, We have examined your latest springs FB.2171 with your special spring clips, and consider the appearance to be neat, although the added weight is rather alarming, the increase in weight being 9 lbs. per chassis. However, we will test the life of these springs on the Bumper and let you have our criticism then. We are now wanting urgently a set of 25 HP. springs F.61003 and F.61009. 1 pair of F.61008, 850 lbs. 1 pair of F.610011 - 1100 + lbs. Will you please commence producing these at once. The official order will follow in a day or so. We should also like you to let us know the thickness of each plate, so that our drawing can be completed. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
