With reference to BY/Cgh.{W Clough}6/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2/12.31. it has now been agreed to go ahead with all items except (7), (8),(16), and (17), and they should be instructed immediately to be as on the last 25 chassis in 'T' series. Item (16) is cancelled, and further instructions will be given in regard to (7) and (8) in due course. BY/RD. should put in hand immediately detail drawings for the Instrument Patch, which should be issued to the Works for them to produce 100 sets. The instruments will, of course, be ordered from Smiths. To ensure that Smiths instruments will fit we should send some suitable drawing when ordering the instruments. The L.O.P. for the Spanners and Tools should also be held up until we get Sales' approval to certain items being deleted. Ball Bearing Cams should be instructed for the Servo. The road springs should have rolled eyes in accordance with the standardisation sheet, which has just been circulated. The change gear and brake levers should be like those instructed for the last 25 in 'T' series. This also applies to the rear brakes, as the Experimental Department are not yet in a position to standardise the pivoted type. Low rated springs should be ordered for this series for all cars to be used in the Country, except Sports Cars, and these should be fitted with the normal type.
