Potential causes for excessive oil consumption, including breather pipe loss and oil jet feed holes.

Another possible reason for excessive oil consumption is that of oil loss from the breather pipe, Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} will have the result of this on 3-BU-80 by blanking up the breather.

Other features we are looking into are the oil jet feed holes in the connecting rods.

If 3-AZ-170 has to be stripped down and inspection proves O.K. then we will give definite instructions for any modifications to be carried out on assembly.
