Another possible reason for excessive oil consumption is that of oil loss from the breather pipe, Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} will have the result of this on 3-BU-80 by blanking up the breather. Other features we are looking into are the oil jet feed holes in the connecting rods. If 3-AZ-170 has to be stripped down and inspection proves O.K. then we will give definite instructions for any modifications to be carried out on assembly.
