ORIGINAL FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} SALERNI COUPLING ON EAC. 7. X4510 Herewith we send N. schemes 2903/4.,a further drawings in connection with the above coupling which have been made to shew how the brake linkage should be modified to deal with the new position of the servo behind the Salerni coupling. We have used the Phantom differentials to the rear, and the rest of the parts are as far as possible standard. The EAC. 7. hand brake shaft goes back intact and will require packing pieces. We suggest that the levers on the front brake differential should be shortened in order to increase the front braking, which we believe was reduced in the first case. As we now have axle control there should be no need for this reduced braking. It will be seen that there is some handing to be done on the servo parts, we suggest a new inner cone to clear on the servo. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
