We have been told that on certain high speed engines there is a tendency for the piston rings to collapse when certain speeds have been exceeded. We do not think that this is happening on our test bed units but a simple way of checking this is to keep a record of the crankcase pressure. This could be taken with the vent blocked up temporarily. Will you please let me see such figures as opportunity occurs.
