X-4430 To ROY {Sir Henry Royce} /Ms. from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T23.1.22. X.4430 - MATERIALS FOR GOSHAWK CONDENSER. This will confirm that you are now obtaining for us :- (1) Reels of narrow (.900") foil, in accordance with item (2) of our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T6.12.21. (2) Further reels of wide (2.625") tin foil in accordance with item (4) in our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T6.12.21. Would you kindly note that the only fault with the two sample reels obtained is that one edge seems to have been badly cut, rendering this too jagged. This would probably cause trouble in the finished condenser. (3) Sample single interleaved oiled silk and aluminium foil from Messrs. Wraptyn. (4) A small quantity of untreated silk ~~dielectric~~ fabric (2.325" wide) for trial with the varnished aluminium foil, of which we already have a sample from Messrs. Symons. (5) The minimum number of reels obtainable of single paper .0019" thick by 2.325" wide from the L.P.S. Electrical Co., similar to sample submitted. (6) The minimum number of reels obtainable of twin paper .0015" double thickness, 2.325" wide. Atwater We have now made a start with the building up of these rolled condensers and should, therefore, like the materials as early as possible. EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFC. {E.
