To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} c.c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 1113 Kingsbury June 23rd.1937 RAYMOND MAYS' BENTLEY B.24.GA. 4 1/4 LITRE. This car has been fitted with the large cooling brake drums and the side steering arms to give clearance made approx. 1" longer. This throws the cross steering tube one inch further back with the result that it fouls the front exhaust expansion box with the wind up of the front springs. With the car at rest there is 1/2" clearance as against 1 1/2" standard steering arms. We are giving more clearance by flattening in the end lagging of the box. In the event of the works fitting these large drums provision should be made to give more clearance for the expansion box. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W.
