10.7.12.

Re Improvements in DeDion type Universal Joints.

TBB1/L10712.

With reference to the provisional specification and sketches referring to Improvements in Universal Joints, which you submitted to us sometime ago, this matter has been placed before Mr Royce and he remarks as follows:-

"I am afraid that this would not be a very practicable scheme because the loose pieces suggested would I fear be liable to get jambed, it would also require a considerable increase in the diameter of the joint.
I should not like to recommend the use of the loose piece which would constitute Mr Burt's invention."

I must apologise for having held this matter over so long but I am sure you will understand that it has been owing to extreme pressure of work.

It may interest you to know that Mr Royce suggests using blind blocks such as you use in your alternative scheme, but without the loose contact
