Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager}, Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}, LA{L. A. Archer}, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD{Frank Dodd - Bodies}, and Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} (1) The minutes of the previous meeting were taken as read and conferred. (2) Arising out of the Minutes of the Previous Meeting. Aero Glass. It was reported by Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} that Triplex Aero Glass had been fitted to a car for test, and that it has been removed as the surface was irregular producing distortion. It was also found to crack very easily. This glass is fitted to the Wraith II, 24.G.6 and it was agreed that no further experiments with Aero glass should be made until the makers have achieved further developments, when it will again be tested. Driving Visibility. Tests of the driving visibility of RR. and Bentley cars according to the S.M.M.T. latest proposals to the Ministry of Transport have been impossible up-to-date owing to the Skid-pan being either under water or frozen. Suitable markings on the pan have been instructed and the tests will be conducted as soon as conditions permit. Wraith II Bodies. The body for the second Wraith II chassis will be delivered during the coming week for mounting on 25.G.6. It is a Special Touring Limousine. The body for the third Wraith II chassis, 26.G.6 has been instructed. It is a Four Door Saloon. It was agreed to include a Sedanca in the range, but not for the fourth car, as this would possibly delay the chassis being ready for a 10,000 miles test. Contd: | ||
