Barker Continental.

It is understood that this car will be ready for delivery shortly.

Wraith Body Weights.

It was agreed that a comparison between the first Wraith II and 22.G.5 was not altogether fair as the latter body, although of the same type, had been treated on all the panels with sound insulating material. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} gave the average weights of the standard Thrupp & Maberley Enclosed Limousine 25/30 as 12cwts.0qrs.7 lbs. The corresponding weight of the Enclosed Limousine 24.G.6 (Wraith II) is 11cwts.3 qrs.0 lbs. showing a weight reduction of 35 lbs. in spite of the latter body being increased in size as follows:-

(1) 1.5 ins. steering wheel to dash.
(2) 2.0 ins. more legroom in rear compartment.
(3) Rear seat 4.000 ins. more forward of the rear axle.
(4) Overall length of body approximately 7 ins. greater.

The second Wraith body will be lighter as it has been agreed to omit the special steel under-panels as used on Phantom III bodies.

New Headlamps.

Instructions have been issued to make the new Lucas headlamps to be capable of giving our standard dipping arrangement for home use and to give Bi-focal Dipping for Europe by an easy conversion. In the meantime, though they have been removed from 35-Ex., now in France, they are being tested on a Bentley in England.

Fitting of Bonnets.

It was reported by Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} that a small scuttle bead had been seen and approved for masking irregularities between the back end of the bonnet and the scuttle. This will be fitted to the third Wraith body, 26.G.6.
It was agreed to instruct for an immediate test on an existing car, a bonnet having the rear bonnet eye on the dash as now, and the bonnet rest strip carried on the scuttle. The present rest strip on the dash being removed and replaced by a temporary rest on the dash for bonnet setting and the delivery of the chassis.

Widney Unbroken Line Top Bonnet Hinge.

This hinge in its standard form has been instructed for test on a Bentley. Tools for a special hinge for our requirements, the makers say, would cost something in the neighbourhood of £600.
