Mr. Hancock from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} X 4187 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2/LG27.5.24. X 4187 X 9790 MAGNETOS. It has now been decided by R. {Sir Henry Royce} that we should use a governed Scintilla Magneto on the EAC.11. engines. We ought, therefore, as soon as possible to fit up one of these magnetos on to an EAC. engine on the test bench and take an ignition curve similar to that which has been done with the battery ignition. We take it that EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} will send on prints and particulars of the dimensions of the Magneto to E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} We also recommend that we should obtain two more magnetos of a similar type. The final specification as regards the range on the governor could be laid down after the tests have been completed on the bench with the magneto at present in our possession.
