OILS

Mr. Brooker has sent us copy of a report from one of their Representatives regarding the relative merits of SHELL and MOTORINE Oils as under:

"I called on Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} to-day in response to his card which you forwarded to me. He wished to see me regarding the business we had from him some time ago for barrel lots of Motorine C. His customers have for the past twelve months or so used Shell, and a careful review of their records has shown them that they used 5 gallons per month when using Motorine C. This consumption increased with our competitor's oil to 12 1/2 gallons per month. In consequence they are coming back to Motorine. I was then informed that his customers have three branches, and he is hoping to get the business from the other two branches as a result of their dis-coveries in connection with oil consumption, in which case he informs me that this con-sumption mentioned will be trebled".
