RE: BENTLEY CHASSIS NO. B-35-AY. HALL.

D/BP/HF.{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector}1/OG.12.1.34.

We would refer you to our previous memo HY{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}/Cgh.{W Clough}10/G.9.1.34. which deals with the question of a 22 gallon petrol tank and the higher ratio for the above.

The scheme for the tank has just been completed and detail drawings are now in hand, which will be issued to the Works about the middle of next week.

We send you herewith print of RR.Sch.585 showing full size views of the larger tank on which we have indicated the relative position of the floorboards in the rear compartment of the body, and suggestions for modifying same to secure the electric petrol gauge on the tank.

We have assumed that it is not permissible for the filler to be higher than the present standard, therefore we have shown a special filler for the larger tank in order to maintain the present height of filler cap, which, of course, means a new pattern. If it is permissible for the filler cap to be higher, then we could use our standard filler which would be 1" higher as indicated in pencil on the above print.

Will you please take the matter up with the coachbuilders.
