- 2 - Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited. 0.6" by .015". At 80 lbs. the bellows failed to return by .030", and at 110 lbs by .045". No further distortion was observed until 150 lbs/sq.in was reached. No noticeable alteration to the shape of the convolutions took place during any period of the test, and it would appear satisfactory to employ this bellows for a working pressure of 100 lbs/sq.in.providing that the movement which is expected to take place is reduced from 0.15" to 0.1". It would therefore appear to be desirable if it is at all possible, to increase the free length of this unit slightly if the original movement of 0.15" must be obtained. We are re-quoting you for units to your drawing No. EX. 10836, as requested, and have included for double wall bellows. If we can give you any further assistance we shall be pleased to do so on hearing from you. Yours truly, THE PACKLESS GLAND CO. LTD. [Signature] W.Martin-Hurst. Director. | ||
