To CJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ. PN.{Mr Northey} c. to CWB. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} +8940 S E C R E T. EAC. 'V' SERIES. +8770 98-NK, the first car to go to France, will not be complete with all the parts instructed for 'V' series until Saturday or Sunday. Assuming the car is completed at the end of this week, we ought to be able to bring it to London on Tuesday the 10th. Feb. It will not be possible to have 44-PK car also completed by that time. We are using this car continuously for experimental tests on the various complaints, which we know to exist on 'V' series chassis. When we visit Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence, we want to take as much information as possible on the various complaints. We are hoping that although 44-PK will not be complete as a 'V' series chassis, that we shall be able to bring it to London at the same time as 98-NK to demonstrate the improvements since it was last tested. We can also bring 93-NK which will be in exactly the same state as when it was approved by Sales. Everything is being done to get 98-NK car to France as soon as possible. This car is not being delayed for improvements. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
