springs are noisy, as it been made clear enough that the springs should nip the top and the bottom washers to prevent them swishing.

ROAD SPRINGS.

The front are decidedly too weak for continental roads. The front of the car is on the bounce the whole of the time. There is no undue movement of the radiator. The rear springs are too weak for high speed work, the rear wheels are continually off the ground. We do not like the free movement of the rear shock damper connecting links, there is no definate control of the axle for cornering the rear of the Car jassers across the road.

REAR AXLE

We have got the oil leak on the n/s into the brake drum also from several of the bolts in the centre casing. Ther is a definate slackness in the pinion housing when hot. A nasty clank is heard from the rear drive when the clutch is engaged after pulling hard. It appears to be due to too much slack in the driving gear.

CLUTCH

There is too much clank from the clutch mechanism when the clutch is released suddenly ( A test dept complaint.)

ENGINE

There is definate loss of compression in No 2 cylinder, valves are O.K. which makes a definate transmission thud when running slow.

We are still loosing oil out of the rear bearing. The oil pump creaks and is generally noisy.

DYNAMO

The dynamo does not maintain a charge when driving with the head lights and instrument board light on at any speed.

BATTERY BOX

The rear flange is too weak it broke during the run here.

EXHAUST CUT OUT

This is an entire failure.
We spent a hole day dismantling and makeng it free. In less than twenty miles it had seized again. It free's itself occasionnaly during the runs. There is plenty of clearance in the bearings. We believe it is due to the expansion endways whilst the valve is closed.

We are trying the standard road wheels on the front to day but as it is raining and the roads very wet, the results will not be accurate enough to report upon. [handwritten] no better. results steering less self centering. [/handwritten]
There is no faults so far with leaving the extra oil tap on for half an hour whislt running.
