To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} R.F.E X.3461/a HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG16.6.20. X.3461/a SHOCK ABSORBER LEVERS IN MILD STEEL. All our tests on Shock Absorbers have been carried out with M.S. Levers. We find that only the first shock absorbers we made had M.S. levers and these were changed after a short time because they failed. These levers, however, were of the type with the square end. We consider that before any change is made in the material of the levers it would be necessary for us to carry out extensive tests. We think that as it is a Stampers error, they should take the responsibility of replacing the Levers. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E C JUN 16 RECEIVED | ||
