Attached is a report from Steadman, which releases the steam valve for production on the Ph.III. We must say that on the Ph.III we think that our steam valve and filler have become distractingly complicated for the work which they have to perform. If we compare them with the Camel valve which was our original objective, it is difficult to justify the number of pieces we have got on LeC.4568. We feel certain that these parts will be criticised in view of the existing campaign for a reduction of production costs. We admit that we have not a simplified experimental scheme to offer at the moment, but are giving the matter our attention. In the meantime we do think that this job merits design consideration.
